Welcome to Corsivo! This project holds a special place in my development journey: it is a modern revival of my very first repository on GitHub. Rebuilt from the ground up, it features a glassmorphic dark design system, fluid slanted text micro-animations, and full offline caching compatibility.

The name Corsivo (Italian for italic or cursive) highlights our goal to present word definitions with exquisite typography, visual transitions, and custom layout setups.

Privacy Policy

Your data remains yours. 100% client-side.

We believe online privacy should be simple, clear, and absolute, without standard corporate legalese:

  • No Accounts: You do not need to register, enter an email, or sign in to explore words. We offer a full experience with zero authentication walls.
  • 100% Local Storage: All your search history logs, saved words (bookmarks), and visual color themes are stored exclusively on your own device inside your browser's LocalStorage.
  • No Databases or Servers: We do not host backend databases. We have zero tracking tools, cookies, or remote analytics logs. Your word lookups are completely private.
  • API Queries: Word searches request definitions from the public Free Dictionary API. Related recommendations use the Datamuse API. No personal trackers are sent.

Our terms of usage are extremely simple:

  • Fair Use: Search and discover as many words as you need. Please do not run aggressive web scrapers that spam the API servers.
  • MIT License: The code for Corsivo is open-source and free to read, fork, clone, or modify under the permissive MIT license parameters.
  • As-Is Service: We pull definitions dynamically from public dictionaries. Information is presented "as-is" without warranty.

Corsivo has zero subscription tiers, zero locked features, and zero banner ads:

  • Free Forever: This app is built out of passion as a portfolio project. You will never be asked for billing details, trials, or premiums.
  • No Advertisements: We do not run ads. The layout remains clean, loading fast, and focused on typography definitions.

Corsivo is completely transparent and designed without auth limits:

  • Zero Login Constraints: There are no registration forms, forgot-password scripts, or profiles. The app loads instantly for everyone.
  • Code Repository: The codebase is open for public review and contributions on GitHub, showing the journey from my first repository to this modernized revival.
  • Educational Focus: Rebuilding this as a pure HTML/CSS/JS single-page application shows that high-fidelity web experiences can be created with zero bloated frameworks.
